The traditional layout and ambiance provided a genuinely authentic experience, complete with that charming garden view perfect for a morning coffee. The futons offered surprising comfort, ensuring a good night's rest after a long day of exploration.
Be prepared to haul your luggage up a steep flight of stairs, which can be a pain if you're loaded down. The building lacks good winter insulation, so bring something warm for sitting by the garden in colder months. Keep in mind that noise travels easily, especially footsteps from above, which could be bothersome to light sleepers.

A blend of elegance with a beautiful inner garden and some of the comfiest beds I've experienced. Hiro's warm hospitality and insightful recommendations turned my trip into a nice adventure!
Access can be challenging. Be prepared for steep stairs, which might be burdensome with heavy luggage. The space can feel chilly at times, especially in the cooler months.

It was just a prime choice for a weekend escape in Kyoto with definitely value for money. The futons were surprisingly comfortable for our family . Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper, as it can get a bit noisy at night.
