got large and really special queen room with a garden view as expected, loved it. everyone was warm hearted as well as owner.

The traditional layout and ambiance provided a genuinely authentic experience, complete with that charming garden view perfect for a morning coffee. The futons offered surprising comfort, ensuring a good night's rest after a long day of exploration.

Be prepared to haul your luggage up a steep flight of stairs, which can be a pain if you're loaded down. The building lacks good winter insulation, so bring something warm for sitting by the garden in colder months. Keep in mind that noise travels easily, especially footsteps from above, which could be bothersome to light sleepers.

All in all a really really nice stay, the venue met expectations. All good - we loved this traditional hotel - the food was great and the staff were exceptionally accommodating. Absolutely perfect and magnificent location, in a beautiful district, the property was in the middle of the city.

Fabulous quiet hotel with fantastic location in the heart of old town. New-fashioned, good-sized room with a private bathroom and towels and slippers. Extremely comfy bed and great services. Location right by the garden of a wild profusion of vegetation.

Hiro is an amazing host who made our stay nice with personalized tips. The building lacked good insulation, making it chilly at times.

Aye, the inside garden was straight up serene, perfect for chillin' after a long day. Hiro the host was like fam too, always checking in but never bugging. The futons were mad comfy-best sleep I had in a minute! Just wish the place had better heating for nighttime vibes.

I stayed in a Double Room with Shared Bathroom and it was super cozy! The bed was among the softest I've experienced in Japan, a dream after long days of exploring. The room was clean, and I loved opening the window to get a view of the beautiful garden. The atmosphere was unique with a mix of traditional and modern elements, and Hiro, the host. Just wish it had better insulation for chilly nights!

The location is perfect, allowing easy exploration of Gion's beautiful streets. The shared kitchen is well-equipped, and I enjoyed relaxing in the serene courtyard garden with koi ponds. Hiro, the host, was helpful.

A bit noisy due to thin walls.

It was just a prime choice for a weekend escape in Kyoto with definitely value for money. The futons were surprisingly comfortable for our family . Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper, as it can get a bit noisy at night.

The location is in the heart of gion, just a short walk from the train station. The lovely garden was perfect. Our host was super cute and even helped us with our bags! The shared facilities and kitchen were all very clean.
